Point of Departure, 2014 Performance, 40 min. PAO Festival, Atelier Nord, Oslo, Norway. A silvery cocoon casing, a see-through tube and a roll-able foam object is situated in the spotlight. The silvery cocoon starts crackling, bit by bit revealing a body - silver dressed, bear feet, and blue headed (blue haired and blue faced). The body moves slowly and hovers while leaning on its side, feet and hands not touching the floor. It is gazing across the space, directing its attention toward the tube. The body pulls the tube on to its face, pushing out a fragile and monotone sound through breathing, moving on to the roll-able foam, creating a clunking oval sound. The body slips over on to the floor, pulls its feet from underneath the body, stands up and leaves. The different sounds of the objects resonate in the room. Photos by Monika Sobczak and André Wulf
